Canberras and USS enterprise - IAF's Most Secret Mission Ever

This is the story of the most secret and badass operation ever conducted in the history of Indian Military Aviation, I'll provide you the source of this in the end and trust me this article is going to change your opinion about our defence forces also all the details you'll get here are already declassified so don't blame me for violating any secrecy.

It was the time when pakistani defence forces began collapsing in the 1971 war, however they were still confident as they had full support of Americans who were doing the same because they wanted friendly relations with China and Pakistan was the middleman in the deal, coming back to the war it was all going as planned by our commanders, our navy had already buried down half of the pakistani fleet, the sky was made almost clear of pakistani fighters, our land forces were advancing with full momentum, the merciless Bangladeshi rebel fighters made the condition of pakistanis even worst, the victory was sure within few days.

The US Intervention -

Suddenly, the intelligence agencies picked up something suspicious heading towards Indian waters, it was an entire naval fleet with 75,000 ton USS Enterprise, world's largest nuclear powered aircraft carrier as the flagship alongwith guided missile cruiser USS King, guided missile destroyer USS Decatur, USS Parsons and amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli moreover a British naval group led by HMS Eagle with HMS Albion any many others from the allied nations of America were coming in to help the Pakistani Forces.

The Americans also asked other countries close to Pakistani border to help Pakistan until they reach after which the UAE sent half a squadron of fighterjets and the Indonesians dispatched one naval vessel into the fight, four Jordanian planes moved to Pakistan, 22 more were also ready, the Saudi forces, Iranians and the Turks were also willing to send their fighters but, the Russians sent notes threatening all of them not to enter the war otherwise will have to suffer. The White House was also hoping for some action from the Chinese side as on the very same day, Nixon told Kissinger that, “a movement of even some Chinese trucks toward the Indian border can scare those goddamn Indians to death.”

That badass plan -

While the American Task Force 74 was entering into the Indian Ocean, the Indian fighterjets were already on alert to counter any attack from US Fighters, in Delhi the deplomats were continuously in contact with Soviets as Moscow had assured that they have already dispatched a naval fleet under the command of Admiral Vladimir Kruglyakov which will manage to reach ontime bedsides this the top officials in Delhi had also made a badass plan, a team of 40 most elite IAF fighterpilots was ready with Wing Commander KK Bhadwar as the leader to attack and sink down USS Enterprise and other warships if the Russian fleet couldn't reach on-time, all 40 fighterpilots were volunteers and were told to crash their planes on the deck of US ships if needed.

The D-Day of the 71 war -

As expected the Russian fleet was now in Indian Water but the problem was that the American fleet was still not in thier range as the missiles on the Russian warships were of limited range (approximately 300 kms) on the other hand the American and British duo was very close to launch attack and suprisingly three batalions of marines were also with them to help the pakistani forces, seeing the situation Indian Airforce scrambled the Elite Team of 40 fighterpilots from an unknown Airbase to launch a Kamikaze type attack on US Battle Group.

It was just few minutes from takeoff when the team leader, Wing Commander KK Bhadwar of No.35 Squadron heard a message to abort the mission and return to the base, he was not surprised and led his team back to base. On returning they found that the US Fleet with all its allies is now leaving away from Indian waters.

Actually, the Russian Commander who had a good number of nuclear- armed warships and atomic submarines, ordered to surface his submarines as soon as those monster submarines came up the Americans recognised them, the Russian also trained their missiles towards USS Enterprise and blocked them they didn't allowed them to close in on Karachi, Chittagong or Dhaka. Later that day the Russians intercepted a communication between the commander of British battlegrounp Admiral Dimon Gordon and US Commander, he said that "Sir, we are too late there are the Russian atomic submarines here, and a big collection of battleships” after which they fled toward Madagascar .

Three days later the Pakistani Army surrendered with about 93,000 soldiers (largest after World War 2) and a new nation Bangladesh was born.

His Service Number is 4669 F(P) he got commissioned on 16 Jan 1954 and was retired on 31 August 1986, he got Vir Chakra on 26 Jan 1972 for massive raids in Karachi.
